At least four people have sustained injuries in a President Convoy accident on Thursday night when President John Dramani Mahama was on his way to Agordake in the Volta Region to commission a pontoon.
The accident occurred between Ekye Amanfrom and Agordake around 7pm and the vehicle was a Toyota Land-cruiser which had been allocated to the press corp that accompanied the president.
The four were in that vehicle and were treated by the medical team that accompanied the president. President Mahama continued his tour after the incident and later went to Kpando to meet with the chiefs and people around 11pm.
The vehicle has been towed away and all four injured persons are responding to treatment.
