From a political background,she is the only daughter of born to a politician, Alhaji Ahmed Ramadan, the National Chairman of the People’s National Convention (PNC) and Hajia Ayesha Ramadan.
No wonder Samira has risen to become a leading member of the New Patriotic Party.Her brother,Abu Ramadan is also a staunch member of the People’s National Convention.
Samira is a linguist with five languages; Ewe, Ga, Twi, Fanti and her husband’s native tongue, Mamprusi, rolling off her tongue effortlessly.
She started her early education at the Answarudeen Islamic School at Fadama in Accra, before proceeding to the Akosombo International School and then Mfantsiman Secondary School in the Central Region for her O-Level.
Samira Bawumia read BA Social Science in Law and Sociology at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology.
Samira was also adjudged the Best Student in Master of Business Administration (MBA) for Project Management at GIMPA.
Samira is a beauty contestant, lifestyle TV presenter now turned politician.
Samira first met Dr. Bawumia in May 2003, and they got married nine months later in February 2004. Their first daughter was born in December 2004 and is named Nadia.
