Police in India has arrested a Ghanaian drug baron, Adefule Michael has been arrested for his alleged involvement in the peddling of cocaine to students and customers at a 5-star hotel.
The 37-year-old got arrested with five other students near a spot called Secunderabad Club in West Zone. A Joint Commissioner of Police T Prabhakar Rao reveals they seized 48 grams of cocaine and 207 LSD (Lysergic acid diethylamide) “stamps” from their possession.
The accused were nabbed based on a tip-off. The students are Akshay Kannoli, Shishir Chauhan, Rahul Sunny, Kapish Agarwal and A Rohith Rao.
He came into contact with Michael, who is supplying cocaine and LSD drugs in Hyderabad, and started purchasing the drug from him for his own consumption before he started selling the LSD drug stamps for higher rates to needy students and customers.
Meanwhile, investigations show the Ghanaian, who stays in Sainikpuri came to India in 2012 on business Visa and started exporting clothes to Ghana from Mumbai and Hyderabad.
“The accused has been supplying drugs to top pubs and resorts located in Somajiguda, Jubilee Hills, Gachibowli and Shamirpet. In his confession, Adefule also confessed that on September 5 he supplied drugs to 2,500 youngsters, mostly students at a resort in Shamirpet,” the police said.
