Manchester United coach Louis Van Gaal seems to be living on borrowed time as Jose Mourinho has told Inter Milan directors that all is set for his move to the Red Devil.
Van Gaal has been linked with the exit door at United as his team sit fifth in the Premier League ranking table, six behind fourth placed Manchester City.
Moratti, sister of the former Inter president Massimo, was door-stepped by Italian media at a lunch attended by Mourinho on Saturday.
She told reporters: “He’s missed as a person, but right now he’s happy, he’s going to Manchester.”
Mourinho attended Inter’s game against Sampdoria as a guest of the Moratti family, who sold their controlling stake in 2013.
United face Shrewbury in the FA Cup as they bod for a place in the competitions quarter-final.
The team is also fighting for a place in the round of 16 in the Europa League. They welcome Midtjylland to Old Trafford on Thursday night.
