JOSE MOURINHO has signed a pre-contract agreement with Manchester United, according to reports.Website Football Insider claims Mourinho has put pen to paper on a three-year deal worth £48million after six weeks of talks.
A United source has revealed the agreement is for him to take over at Old Trafford in the summer, not before.And despite growing calls from supporters for Louis van Gaal to be sacked and Mourinho instated for the remainder of the season, this will not happen.
It’s claimed the former Chelsea boss will be earning a bumper wage of £308,000 a week in a bid to turn around United’s fortunes next season.
It’s hoped Mourinho’s appointment will undo Van Gaal’s style of play that has riled fans, former players and football pundits alike.
And, according to the report, the board have settled on the Portuguese despite reservations from some directors, including club legend Sir Bobby Charlton.
