•Zimbabwean MP Joseph Chinotimba and his wife have set the longest kiss in Africa record after locking lips for 10 minutes and 17 seconds
A member of parliament and his wife have set a new kissing record in Africa.
The Zimbabwean MP Joseph Chinotimba and his wife kissed their way into the continental records book on Valentine’s Day.
“Buhera South legislator Joseph Chinotimba and his wife celebrated Valentine’s Day in style after winning the longest kiss competition organised by the Book of African Records,” reported Zimbabwean paper The Herald.
The couple kissed for 10 minutes and 17 seconds to set the record as the longest kiss in Africa. They almost double the organisers’ target of five minutes and 27 seconds.
MP Chinotimba and his wife of eight were given a food humper, $ 1,000 (about KSh 100,000) and one year DSTV subscription.
The contestants were married couples and kiss continuously with lips touching at all times.
Well, these could be the king and queen of kissing in the continent but their record is a child’s play when compared to the world’s longest kiss.
