No holiday on Farmers Day – Interior Ministry

The Interior Ministry has stated that the Farmers Day celebration which is scheduled to place on Friday November 4, 2016 will not be observed as a public holiday.

In a press release delivered today, Monday, 31 2016, the Ministry of the Interior has declared National Farmers’ day celebration marked Friday, November 4, 2016 to be observed as a public holiday.

The statement signed by Minister for the Interior, Prosper D. K. Bani said the statutory Farmer’s day holiday, which falls on Friday, December 2, 2016, would be declared a public holiday appropriately.

The BrongAhafo Region will be hosting this year’s National Farmers Day— the 32nd in a series— on the 7th of October, 2016 at Kintampo under the theme, ‘Agriculture: A Business Response to Economic Growth.’
