Many call her arrogant and a self-centered narcissist who must not be entertained. She argues that she stands for what is right and will not be pushed over. Actress Yvonne Nelson has beefed with almost every arm of entertainment in Ghana; from organizations/unions, fans, colleagues to media. NsromaMedia.Com’s Nsiah Asante has made a list 6 people Yvonne Nelson has fought with and the reasons why she fought with them.
In 2010, C.E.O of Venus Films Productions, Abdul Salam filed a complaint that Yvonne Nelson had disrespected him on set. She was slapped with a one-year ban by Film Producers Association of Ghana (FIPAG) to not act in Ghana.
Yvonne Nelson got ‘mad’ on set during the shoot of “4Play Reloaded” and hurled invectives at virtually everybody including Producer Abdul Salam of Venus Films and Production Manager Roger Quartey, because she was supposed to shoot a scene with Jackie Appiah, but Jackie had absented herself by seeking permission to attend a social event, but she (Yvonne) was not informed of Jackie’s absence and as a result of that she wasted several hours waiting for Jackie to come back.
Jackie was billed to appear as a guest judge at the just ended Miss Malaika 2010 finals, which was live on TV. Yvonne therefore refused to shoot the scene alone, and even when Jackie was ready, she was still adamant.
Early 2011, she was again slapped with one-year ban by the Nigerian film producers for arrogance on set.
