Last year, the June 3 disaster took away as many as 126 precious lives. It was as a results of Fire and Flooding at circle, Accra. The sad thing is that victims are still looking forward for the Accra Metropolitan Assembly to give them something as promised.
On that fateful Wednesday, scores of people who had gone to seek refuge at the popular and one of the oldest filling station, Goil filling Station at Circle spent their last moments on earth.
This was the situation the day after the incident.
Today, Nana Yaw Sarfoh hosted a few of the victims on Vision1 FM. They told it all and these are some photos of them one year after the incident.
The drainage system in Accra remains poor and the city get flooded each and every time it rains. Could it be that we do not learn? Or we have leaders who care little about their people? These and many questions are begging for answers.
These people were lucky and look at the situations they find themselves through no fault of theirs.
