Samini refused to comment on VGMA’s decision not to nominate Shatta Wale in an interview he granted Pluzz fm all the way from Dubai.
The veteran musician was called on Pluzz fm’s AMpluzz which is hosted by Sammy Baah Flex to explain why he did his song ”Anytime” and to confirm whether it was directed to Shatta Wale or not.
It was in the discussion when he was queried by the host that since he’s such an advocate for the dancehall genre, how then does he feel about the VGMA’s decision not to nominate Shatta Wale.
”Personally I think every institute or organization has their set of rules and if anyone breaks the rules I believe there are sanctions,I don’t want to talk much on the issue.”
However,Samini indicated that his anytime song wasn’t directed to any local artist but was referring to Kranium,Alkaline and Elephant man who are said to rock the stage with our Ghanaian dancehall comrades like Shatta Wale,Stonebwoy and Samini himself on the 4th of March next month.
