Charming and adorable Actress Louisa Adinkra has dismissed the notion that light -skinned actresses are been favored in movie roles than any other complexion.
According to her, ‘’getting a role to play in a movie has nothing to do with skin color but rather the competency’’.
Louisa revealed that, she has never been given a role to play in a movie because of the color of her skin.
There has been claims that light skin actresses are been favored on set more than any other skin color actresses on set. But the beautiful actress made this revelation in reaction to claims that actresses must look a certain way to get movie roles.
Louisa Adinkra told De-Majesty Kamil Umar in an interview that she doesn’t think the issue of colour is a hitch in the Ghanaian movie industry at the moment.
‘’People think my light- skinned contributes to my success in the industry but is far different from facts, it’s about your performance and how you handle yourself’’.
‘’I am not trying to blow my horn but I feel like I’ve worked so hard to get to where I am…I have had a lot of roles without my color been considered.’
‘’I don’t think light-skinned actresses are favoured because they are light-skinned. Is purely about talent and you needed to have God. You need to earn that and not really about you being light-skinned or any complexion. It’s wrong perfection,” she said.
