Once again another weekend approach us that will be full of heat with the different sneakers dropping within the next two days. According to XXLmag, their top 5 picks for the weekend include an array of silhouettes from Nike and a special collaboration from Converse.
We kick things off with Kobe’s 10th signature shoe, the “5am Flight” silhouette. Designed by Eric Avar, the first sneaker from the KOBE X line will feature a blue-based canvas with a translucent rubber on the midsole and outsole of the sneaker. Inspired by Kobe Bryant’s 40-foot morning leap from a diving platform in 2013 the silhouette will retail for $180.
The Swoosh will keep the all-red theme going with an updated version of the Air Command Force sneaker. The upper will be decked out in red premium leather with hits of black on the midsole and white branding on the Swoosh and tongue of the shoe. Nike will also be bringing back a 2005 release in form of a quickstrike. The Air Force 1 “BHM” will feature the original colorways from the ’05 release and will be limited to 2,200 pairs.
Converse will team up with the Andy Warhol Foundation for a collection that will focus on the art and vision of the late and legendary Warhol. The shoes will be themed after Andy’s infamous Campbell’s Soup portraits and drawn onto the canvas of the Converse Chuck Taylor.
